The story behind Renewed Meaning Therapy
I created Renewed Meaning Therapy (RMT) because I wanted to offer something more complete than what I had seen in traditional care. Mental health has always been my passion and path. Since 2012, I have worked as a Psychiatric APRN in inpatient hospitals and outpatient clinics, where I witnessed how medication can bring real relief and even save lives. Yet so many people still felt stuck in their bodies or without a clear sense of purpose. When the world shut down in 2020, I finally had the space and courage to open my own practice and bring my full vision of care to life. I continue to focus primarily on medication evaluation and prescribing, while weaving in Polyvagal Theory — which explores how our physiology shapes our psychology and the control we can regain in our bodies — and Logotherapy, which addresses that deeper, primal question of purpose. I deeply resonate with Viktor Frankl’s words — “Those who have a ‘why’ to live, can bear with almost any ‘how’” — and developed Renewed Meaning Therapy to help my clients discover their own “why” and live it out with greater freedom and hope.
